I have one cat with six toes on each front paw. Her sister is blind from birth (optic nerve not connected). Must have been some genetic issues going on there.

Cats with extra toes are often referred to as "double pawed". It's not so unusual but is indeed very cool. I have always had cats and as a child had a cat who was double pawed named Morris. Only issue with Morris was when he took a swipe at you it was a BIG one and hurt. He was tiger striped..a cool guy for sure.

Your Feral cat who is now coming to your window to visit is being grateful to you for "taking her in". Feral cats don't always get enough food to eat nor do they get to have people around them all the time. She is evidently smart enough to understand that you did rescue her and she is being grateful. All our pets are adopted..two cats and a Pit Bull who were all abandoned in one form or another. They make good pets.

God Bless you for opening your home (barn) and your heart to these kitties!

I had a cat with extra toes on all her paws which is unusual on all four paws. She was part of a litter that all the black females had extra toes but she is the only one to have on all four paws, the others had only one or two paws with extra toes.

There is a specific breed with the extra toes but I do not recall the name.
