I have seen those. Around my house, with 22 cats in it, it is ME who is climbing the walls - not my cats!!!! No way would I give them a booster seat so they could attack more stuff in the house. They can already reach more than I would like!!!!
I actually want to do some serious modification to make the "up high" places more accessable and safe for Nimbus. But the price on some of those cat shelves is simply insane. I'm pretty sure I can build something that will work just as well, cost a lot less, and probably look nicer, too.
Maybe I should go into business building cool cat furniture, huh?
The thing I want to know, is what kind of specialized hardware they're using to make sure the wall shelves are stable enough to hold a cat. You can't just assume people will find studs to screw the thing to the wall...and I'd like to experiment with some cool decorative brackets and shapes, too.
Ugh, I was so LAZY yesterday. :P Meant to get started on this project but a good book basically sucked me in for the entire day so I accomplished nothing but lounging & reading.
I WILL however sometime soon, get started on this. I am going to sculpt some cool shelves for Nimbus to climb on, and if it goes well I am going to make some to sell later, too. I'll post pics when progress happens...
