I'll have to wait until I get home to watch this...

But I wanted to say that the other morning, we found a neat little pile of white socks in the middle of the floor outside my son's room. His door was left open and he left his sock drawer open overnight, and Nimbus apparently had an industrious evening of sock liberation while we slept.

The basement appears to be the cat's lair. It's where he takes anything he wants to tear into little pieces, or hoard for whatever reason.

That is a really cool video. My Chynna Doll also has a sock obsession. She runs down stairs to my basement and hunts down socks out of the laundry basket and leaves them at the top of the stairs.

(Had to check if someone posted this, and of course No Kudzu was way ahead of me!)

I love the slow motion in this video- it really does a fantastic job of capturing how cats move. It's amazing watching all that grace and power...even in a kitten!

Seteria likes trying to sneak into the sock drawer when I'm putting newly laundered and folded pairs in. She'd add it to her list of favorite nap spots if I let her. Blaliko shows no interest.
They, as did Weasie before them, love to follow me downstairs whenever there's wash to be done. But while we're in the basement they pretty much just ignore me and wander around. It's not as if they didn't have access at other times. "Go figger" on that one.
After the better part of a year I haven't yet experienced having anything misappropriated by either of them. But credit for a find was due a couple of weeks ago. Sometime around last August I was cleaning the parts of my electric razor when one of the three rotating heads flew out of my hand and hit the floor. Even after looking beneath counters and under the front of the refrigerator I couldn't turn it up. I made do with 2/3 of a razor without a lot of trouble. Lo and behold - the missing razor head materialized on the kitchen floor! (I'd been brushing it out over the sink.) One of the grrrlz, probably Seteria, had discovered a small object to swat around and it was that. Happy as I was to have been able to shave with a complete razor again, I was all the more happy that the loose piece hadn't been swallowed. All kinds of odds have been beaten by my catolescent's having yet to eat something she shouldn't and suffer the effects.
