Smokey died yesterday at around 4:25pm. She had either a stroke or seizure, possibly both. She lived a hard life of an outdoor stray, but I'm sure that the last nine months that she spent with me as an indoor cat were much better. She also had Megacolon, and it seemed to be getting worse. So now she's at the Rainbow Bridge, playing with the other kitties there.
I'm so sorry to hear about Smokey! Thankfully she had a wonderful person like you who took her in, gave her love and comfort, and was there for her when it was her time to pass. HUGS!
I am truly sorry that you lost your baby girl - I know how hard that is. I thank you for giving her 9 months of love, care, and devotion. She was long overdue - survival is tough for strays and ferals. I am sending you a hug.....((((hug)))))
It's very strange not having her around. I used to vacuum her every day, and she really liked it. She was a funny cat.
Now I'm back to just Snickers, and plan to keep it that way for a while, I really can't afford another cat right now. I'm going to be moving in the fall, and maybe I'll get another then, or more than likely be adopted again.
