Washington DC to ban declawing? Good. Please sign this petition:

Ban Declawing in Washington, D.C. - ForceChange

One city at a time and we can get this barbaric practice, so lucrative to veterinarians, so bad for cats, stopped for good.

I live right on the outskirts of DC, and, with every animal rescue group, and every adoption agency and shelter I've either volunteered at, or adopted from - it's in the paperwork! We have to sign a clause stating that we will not declaw.

*thumbs up*

Read the link. Washington DC isn't banning anything. It's simply a petition.

What's illogical about the petition is it uses a person who tried to do it at home.

If anything, that's a reason to support keeping it legal at vet offices. Think back alley abortions and legal abortion clinics.

I doubt this petition will result in a ban.

Even if it does, hopefully people travel to a suburb where it's legal instead of doing it at home like the idiot in the link.
