Cats often love ice cream and many people mistake this for the sweets that we love, but in fact it is for the cream. Cats love milk and ice cream is just frozen milk. Also cats love fats, they require a much higher fat content than we do in their diets. Often the fattening flavors will appeal to them, but alas its not the sweets that drives their cravings. Hard to believe huh?

Almost..

It's the high protien content in the dairy foods that have them craving it. This is why dogs prefer catfood over dogfood as well, cat food has a much higher protien content in it, to enhance the higher metabolism that felines have, in contrast to other household pets!
