The older kittens are so gentle with him - just lovely. They do roughhouse with him but have not hurt him and do groom and snuggle him also. It was hard for me to be brave and let him out of the safety of his crate but at almost 6 weeks, it was time. He is an intrepid little explorer but I do crate him at night since I can't be sure one of my big kitties won't get rough with him - Cotton Eyed Joe can be a bully, and also for feeds.

He's currently eating a fancy feast kitten turkey pate and goat's milk/half and half slurry. When can I go to plain Fancy Feast and water on the side? He is up to 1 lb now - the little bruiser. I am SO glad I took the plunge and took him. He would almost assuredly be dead (long ugly story involving more than just the shelter) if I had not said I would take him.
