I got a free can of Halo with a coupon a few years ago, and not only didn't Snickers not like it, but the skunks wouldn't even eat it.
LOl this is pretty much what's been happening with every variety of canned food we've been trying. Let me correct that....canned food that I've been trying because DH thinks, "The important thing is that he eat..." None of our cats ever had dry food (neither did any of the cats I had as a child). Of course, we got all our past cats as kittens.
I'll tell you one thing: This is the last rescue cat (addicted to that c---) that I'll ever get.
I bought some of that "Spot's Stew" stuff Halo makes once...Nimbus gave me that look that says, "I don't even know what this is, Mom. It's not food. Try another can, right meow plz." It involved lamb, and it was really gooey and gross looking.
And as far as Delahanty's post and the "important that he eats" thing...well to a point, yes. Some folks think you can force a cat to instantly change their diet to a healthier one, and if they get hungry enough they'll just eat whatever you put down. Unfortunately, they are underestimating the stubbornness of your typical cat. Most cats will starve themselves rather than eat something they don't find appetizing, even to the point of unhealthy levels of rapid weight loss.
So yeah, it's important and great to transition cats to a healthy wet diet. But sometimes it can be a process and you can't just force it all at once, depending on the cat...it can be tricky. What I've seen recommended is crumbling dry food on top of wet food, or buying "toppers" that make the wet food smell and taste more like dry. I'd also experiment with a variety of textures and types of wet. I'm lucky my boy wasn't a "kibble addict," though he'd spent 3 months in the rescue eating it.

And, sometimes, it can't even be done. Believe me, we've tried the mixing with kibble, sprinkling things on top, etc. Ours is, apparently, one of those cats you mentioned who'd rather starve himself, and I'm not willing to do that anyway given its ill-effects on the liver/kidneys.
