My little Charlie is home! Everything went well. I talked to the dr who would have been doing his neuter today. She told me everything went well with him. He had a lot alot of stool which came out and after all of that was said and done he was a happy little camper.
He seems to be doing well. I gave him a little bit of food because he has missed a couple of meals. When I was taking him out to the car someone says, "Hey!" to me and it was his regular vet coming in for her shift. She asked me how he was and said she called the office this morning to see if he came in and how he was doing.....and she gave me a great.big.hug.
The other vet who I talked to this afternoon about the procedure said she fell in love with him and couldn't stay away from his cage, she kept visiting.
Charlie has that effect on people... =)
Nothing foreign came out and I will probably still give him the med for appetite stimulant on Sunday and keep an eye on how he is doing.
Thank you everyone for all your well wishes for Charlie!!! I hope he continues to do well after this.....
Wow.....that is the best news I've had ALL WEEK, trust me!!! I am so grateful that you recognized there was a problem early on and had the good sense to have him checked out. I do love happy endings - and if you think about it this one has two of them....!!! That effect that Charlie has on people - I think he got it from his Mama (you, of course!!). People are just magnetically drawn to handsome kitty boys and friendly caring catmama's!!! Enjoy your boy and have a wonderful weekend.
Great news about Charlie! You did the right thing by going with your instincts instead of listening to a vets (questionable) advice. Good job to both of you.
Oh, and tell Charlie to quit scaring us like that.
So glad to hear about Charlie =D Didn't have time to check while at work - I do sometimes although I have to leave the floor to do it. I'm sure it's a huge relief for you and poor Charlie must feel 100% better too.
