Well today is the day. I put it off a month ago when he was sick. I didn't want him having surgery under unhealthy conditions. Nothing to eat or drink after 9pm last night, so we have taken it away from both of them. They normally eat at about 530 am and they think we are starving them...

Cross your fingers and paws that all goes well today. I know it is a routine surgery, but he is my baby and I worry.

His tail has become so fluffy and pretty I have been calling him Mr. Fancy Fluffy Tail. lol. He's like, "Who's that?"

We are also having him microchipped. He does not go outside but he looks at the back door pretty eagerly when we are coming inside.

Frost on the car windows this morning so I am off to check to see if that's gone!!!

Although I don't really think animals are bothered in any way by being altered, this picture always makes me laugh. Good luck Charlie!

That cracked me up!

Yep, I think he will be fine, and I know we will be better for it. I would not be looking forward to any spraying. I just always worry about my babies, especially after the difficulty KK had last year with his dental anesthesia.

I was supposed to pick Charlie up at 4pm and see the dr. I called at 1230 to see how he was doing and they told me he was fine. They called me about an hour ago and told me that now they want to keep him over night because he has some swelling, bleeding, and oozing.

I feel so bad for him. I want to go see him and love him but that would make it worse because he would think I was leaving him all over again.

=(

but wouldn't you rather have him at the vet and contained where he can be monitored and cared for then having him get sick at home and you in a panic to get him some help? I know exactly how you feel. Hopefully he'll be much better in the morning.

Yes, I would. What I was meaning is that I want to go see him and check on him and love him and come back home but if I did that he would feel like I was leaving him there all over again.

The same as visiting someone in the hospital.

Napoleon and Josie are sending kitty hugs to Charlie. They know what he's going through and they were better after their surgeries in a few days.
