I found a picture from when I was a little girl and for right now all I could do is take a picture of it. I'll get SO to scan it later on.

OMG I am such a cat lady! On any given day you can find me just like this! In a chair with a blanket and two cats!

The black cat was mine and his name was Blackie. The white and black cat was my brothers and she was Spot.

Sorry for the shotty quality of the pic, hopefully it will be better later.

I was much skinner back then....wahahahaha

Why yes, of course, kids can be cat people! I remember, as a very young child, feeling special when the family cat would sleep with me, and I would sleep in contorted positions to accommodate the cat. :-)

I just cracked up when I came across that picture today! Charlie sleeps with me at night like he is attached to my body. He lays with me like he is my little baby or something.

There were family cats all my life, from before I was born. I got my own first cat when I was 11. She slept with me, lived on my lap when I was home, you know. There were plenty of family pets, but she was MY cat.

When I moved out of the house when I was 20 it about killed me to leave her there, but I didn't want to take her away from her home and the rest of her family, cats, dog, and other people. She WAS my cat, but..I was traveling, she was getting on in years and it just wouldn't have been right. My little sister used to send me the combings from her grooming sessions to help me not miss her so much. I would send a t shirt I had worn, for my sister to put in Muffy's bed. She did grieve for me, but it would have been much worse for her, if I had taken her.

Nice picture, you must really cherish it. I wish I had a picture of me and Muffy.

Of course!!!!!!!

I was one.

I was not allowed to have a pet until I was 12 when we got Chopin- our female cat - from our violin teacher.

However, growing up... if there were a cat around.......I was with that cat.

Cats "followed me home from school"

Cats were "Found - sleeping in my bicycle basket"

The neighbor's cat "ran away from home and didn't want to go back"

I tried everything I could to have a cat of my own. But the parents were dead set against it.

Then came Chopin - and it's been cats ever since.
