Hi everyone, I haven't been in this forum for a little while. Lots of catching up to do!

A few months ago, we noticed our Zoe had started losing fur at the base of her tail. We inspected her fur closely and realized she had either fleas or some other bug, so at the vet's advice, we bathed her with Dial and got her started on Advantage. This seemed to clear up the flea/bug problem, but she kept losing fur. Then she lost a lot of fur around her butt and further up her tail. We took her to the vet where she was inspected and had the full gamut of tests. Nothing appeared to be wrong. And now she's losing fur on her sides as well.

Zoe's in good health and spirits otherwise but she's always overgroomed. The vet has suggested a course of kitty Xanax - has this worked for anyone? It's really hard to give Zoe pills and stresses her out, so I only want to do this as a last resort.

Zoe will be 14 in March. Her brother, Dakota, is the same age (same litter) and hasn't had any of these problems. We keep thinking her fur will grow back but it's taking a really long time if it is.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
