That was a few minutes of my life I'll never get back.

How stupid.

Bobbles is a jerk. She tortures me. Only me. But she at least comes when I call her.

Cats are not jerks on purpose. They might exhibit behavior that causes some people to think so though.

Bobbles is a jerk on purpose. She plots, plans, and schemes. It's clearly premeditated jerkiness.

Premeditated? Perhaps, but not most of the time. But she isn't doing it to annoy you. Only you find it "bad". She just finds it something to do and can't judge it in that way.

A jerk? Well... yeah! He's a cat!

[Sorta got different standards for what makes a good cat and what makes a good human, ya know?]

Anyway, one of mine is a borderline (at best) sociopath.

Sociopathy is characterized by at least 3 of the following:
*Callous unconcern for the feelings of others
*Gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations

*Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships, though having no difficulty in establishing them
*Very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence
*Incapacity to experience guilt or to profit from experience, particularly punishment
*Marked readiness to blame others or to offer plausible rationalizations for the behavior that has brought the person into conflict with society

Five of six. Darn near aced it, my adorable little sociopathic kitty Joey! [And I'm so thankful! You get a cat and you always cross your fingers and hope you get a really dynamic personality. Well, mission accomplished with Little Jo!
