You are Charlie's new mother.

Take her to bed with you. Just leave your bedroom door cracked so she can come and go for her litter box.

^^ Exactly. There's no reason kitty cannot sleep on your bed - or even on you. My first kitten loved to sleep draped over my side with her head on my neck. She's way too heavy for that now - 12# - but she still likes to sleep on me for part of the night. The newest kitty who is nearly 3 yrs likes to sleep snuggled into the space behind my knees.

So far, the dog isn't sleeping on the bed but then she's 52# and a good size.

I put her to sleep on the sofa in the end, not sure I want to have her sleeping in my bed as my toddler still co-sleeps sometimes.

I like to keep my bedroom off limits to our 3. I get a better nights sleep without them romping around in the middle of the night, and my bedroom is also hair free. The rest of the house they can have but this one is my little space.
