I have a similar situation. I have a 14.5 male and in October I brought home a 3 month kitten. they hit it off immediately. They wrestle, sleep together, watch birds (through the windows), swap food bowls half way through the meal and clean each other. Goober, the older one was sick last week and Roberto was pretty bummed. Goober started feeling better Saturday and Roberto is happy again. Earlier today they spent a good 15 minutes cleaning each other and while Goober was cleaning Roberto Roberto just leaned against Goober with his eyes closed, obviously loving it. I was amazed by the sweetness of the moment. Not long after Roberto cleaned Goobers tail for a minute or two and then fell asleep with it in his paws also very sweet.
