I rarely volunteer for things, but I'd gladly spend a few hours in there.
I remember seeing this (or another like it) a while back. Interesting scenario they set up, and I'd be willing to bet none of the participants failed to at least smile when the little ones came out. It would be interesting to know if any of those people decided to adopt a kitten/cat afterwards.
