I don't have any cat videos. But when I look at the Cat Forum, I see it dominated by individual threads, each dedicated to just one single cat video, usually harvested from some other website (in other words, you're not uploading a video of YOUR cat).
My browser displays 30 threads on C-D at a time. That includes the two stickies at the top; so, 28 threads per page not including the stickies.
Out of those 28 threads, 11 of them were individual cat video threads that were links to other websites.
My idea: put ALL the "Not your cat" video threads into THIS thread - so that anyone who wants to see videos of cats, only needs to look in one spot and here they all are! Just like the cat pics thread, and the recipes thread in the food forums, etc. etc.
It will also make it less intimidating for new members who come here hoping for help and advice.
So! Post cat videos here so we can jump into the cuteness all at once, or not jump when we have our "serious cat is serious" face on!
Frequently a video will spur a discussion about a topic of interest to many. I don't see that kind of discussion happening in a thread devoted strictly to videos.
I agree with this idea, but I doubt it will stick.
I'm also always disappointed when the sticky thread for "Cat Pics" is updated with a random LOLcat-style pic from the web. I thought it was supposed to be for pics of our own cats. A thread for random LOLcat or similar pics from the web is not at all worthy of sticky status.

If you like seeing pictures of cats what does it matter who they belong to? I post a lot of pictures my friends send me, I get from rescues and from other places on the web. I also get almost daily comments from people who look forward to the pictures and videos I post. They say they look forward to seeing what i find and that they brighten up their day. I see no harm in that. If you don't like seeing them just skip over them.
