A cat cafe has just open in London:

Cafe purrcolater: Inside London's first cat cafe as bizarre fad for serving hot drinks with kittens hits the capital | Mail Online

I know they are popular in Japan.

According to Wikipedia, they will be making their way over the pond - for those in BC or California - a cat cafe will be coming to you soon.

Oh, the terror! Bobbles would hide under the covers in her carrier. She'd never forgive me.

I have 3.

As a single male in my mid 20's I receive a lot of talk and jokes from the guys at work. I've been precariously labeled as the "Crazy Cat Lady" or the "Crazy Cat Guy". I don't mind though. Cats are more self sufficient, cleaner, and easier to care for than dogs.

Most people I work with look down on cats, see them more as a nuisance than anything and say they aren't friendly or sociable. I tell them that they clearly haven't met my cats.

Doesn't bother me what I hear though. Whenever I come home from work I have 3 cats usually waiting to greet me at the door, so I'm never home alone.

I know someone who got arrested for having more than 90 cats in her home. They were living in terrible conditions. This woman had been involved in a local rescue organization. That's a crazy cat lady.

I have 7 cats, but last year had 8 before one passed. I get "crazy cat lady" all the time, but I grew up around a lot of people who owned a lot of cats, so its normal for me. I love them so much, and as long as you have enough love to give each one then you can never own too many cats (well... okay... 90 is too much :P )
