Our kitty puts her little toy mice in her food bowl after reaching a satisfactory level of mutilation following the hunt. If the bowl isn't there for whatever reason- getting canned food prepared, washing it, etc. then it goes right to the water bowl. She won't drink from it. Once the food is back, she changes bowls!

Lol, ours doesn't drop things into his water bowl, but he does "play" with it occasionally. DH and I say "uh-oh" when we hear the familiar noise, then find his bowl (full of water) moved around the floor--with water all over.

This "water bowl thing" is intriguing. Sometimes he laps up the water, other times he licks his paw after dipping it in there.
