I missed this question when you first posted it. The sprinting out of the box, especially after pooping, is pretty common cat behavior, don't worry about that. I call it The Poop Run.

A wet fed cat will pee on average three times a day, especially if the litter boxes are handy. That's another reason to have a box on each level of the house, because it is very bad for a cat to hold his pee.

Poop is usually every 24 to 36 hours. Stool should be firm and shaped but not hard and dry and not looking like "soft serve". Each poop session should leave what looks like three or four snack size tootsie rolls in the box.
