Does anyone else have a cat that growls? My hubby has been telling me for a few months that our cat growls, never believed him until last week. He runs around the house a couple times a day just growling, pretty funny.

Chaos does something similar, dont know if I would call it a growl, or what... whenever he comes into a room, or jumps up on something, he makes a strange little sound, its not a meow, kind of a cross between a trill and a growl, its very cute! He runs around and does the sound, too.....

My cats only growl when I'm holding them to clip their nails or brush their teeth, and even then it's a pathetic little whimper of a growl.

I used to have a black cat that growled when you gave him REAL MEAT or when my Dad gave him a mouse from one of the mouse traps around the house. He was warning everyone to stay away from his food.

I live in an area with lakes and ponds, and some Canada Goose year-round residents. Whenever the geese fly near the house they talk with each other, and my "top cat", the king of the hill, runs to a window and growls deep in his throat at them, watching them fly past. When he can't hear them anymore, he stops growling, turns, and walks calmly back to his life. :-)
When he does this, the other cats and I just stare at him, amazed! Hahahahahaha!!
Save us from them scary geesses!!!!
