I am allergic to my cats, dust and pollen.

For those who suffer from allergies like me, please recommend an air purifier that works for you. Some says it works, others claim it's of little benefit. I am willing to try if one is recommended. If it didn't work for you, I would like to hear your opinion as well.

Any other tips on combating allergies is appreciated.

We have an "older" Honeywell air purifier (one of the round units), primarily for my husband's benefit. (He has allergies to several things.) We keep it in the living room, and it's on all of the time.

DH says it is helpful to him, so we'll keep using it.

I know frequent vacuuming is helpful. I try to brush the cats regularly (though none of them really like it) to cut down on the shedding. I wash bedding (both people and cats) weekly.

Brushing, daily litter box cleaning, very little dustables, no carpeting, leather and wood furniture. We finally went the allergy treatment route with shots and it worked.
