Good, and I hope it sticks. The licensing board and the attorneys can nit pick the details all they want, but the fact remains that if she is the type of person that can do something like that, then she doesn't belong in the profession.
Maybe now she understands that the people she would be relying on for her income don't feel the same about animals as she seems to. They are not creatures to be killed for sport so you can brag about your prowess with a bow and arrow. At best this woman is a self-absorbed fool that ruined her own career, and I don't feel sorry for her one bit.

me neither. I think she has a screw loose. What kind of person, much less a veterinarian would think something like what she did was acceptable in modern society?

There is something seriously wrong with this woman, made even worse because she has a DVM after her name. A veterinarian's job is to save animals; very much like an MD is to humans. What she did turns my stomach.

Punishment for animal cruelty should be much, much harsher... more in line with crimes to human beings. Through my work wth our local humane society, I have seen the result of animal abuse, yet it is very difficult for the authorities to mete out any appropriate punishment besides a slap on the wrist. Even when there is photographic proof, as in this case. For example, a local woman who boarded pets in her home was caught on video slamming a dog to the ground, then picking it up by its ears. Fortunately, the dog was ok, she was investigated, case referred to the DA, then nothing more was reported. Grrrr.

I was shocked to read her now removed Blog about how she liked to kill animals. She admitted it. Why did she become a vet? I have to wonder if she killed any clients cats or dogs when she was employed. It would be so easy for her to do.

Maybe she can get a job in a slaughterhouse and be in all her gory glory.

I am so glad to hear this. The fact that someone could do what she did turns my stomach. It is beyond my comprehension.

I'm glad she got her license revoked. However, I think that her punishment isn't severe enough; she should be going to prison.

I hope she can't even find a job at McDonalds. Anyone who can do that to a helpless animal is sick.
