Indoor snowshoe here. I'm getting tired of spending $85-95 for Revolution every six months. I'm tempted to stop it. $190 for a yrs worth of meds seems too much.

Ours is on Revolution as well and is inside 98% of the time. We also have a screenroom/sunroom they enjoy and sometimes sit on the steps in the sunshine right outside the sunroom. Even though they're out very little, they are still exposed to possibilities. Frontline use to be our vets favorite, but he said the fleas in this area have become immune to it and it's not working anymore. The Revolution is a little more expensive, but worth it. Not only does it prevent fleas, but also heartworm disease, ear mites, hookworms and roundworms.

That's a bargain.

It costs us $100 a month to treat our herd with Revolution.

Joe's Pet Meds has the best price I have found.

Do you need a prescription? A lot of vets were I live will not give a prescription for meds. They want you to buy everything from them at their inflated prices.

No prescription needed for Revolution.

I buy most prescriptions from the vet because they are needed immediately.

Prescriptions that are long standing, I find the best deal and have them fax the vet for the approval.

The vets here wont approve them. Where do you get Revolution from without a prescription?

Forgive me if I am being redundant, but simply because your cats don't go outdoors doesn't mean they won't get fleas. The little buggers can hitch a ride on you (or other humans) to come into your house.

Is it more prevalent in certain areas of the country/climates? Just curious because I've done nothing special and haven't ever had a problem. Trying to figure out how I could be so lucky for so many years.
