I have a question about keeping neutered and unfixed cats together. Recently we picked up a male cat who is unfixed and we have two other cats, and one of which is getting fixed as of this posting and is coming home tomorrow, and I was wondering if they would get along well. Our other cat who is home now hasn't really shown any aggression, and they have mostly been smelling and looking at each other. Please note that the cat that is coming home is only about four months old. Thank you to any responders for the help.

You need to keep cats separate when introducing them anyway, cats don't usually just automatically get along, so just plan on that until you get the other one neutered.

If you have an intact female get her done first.

The simplest answer is to get them all spayed/neutered as soon as possible. Introducing a new cat to your home can be problematic (depending on the cats) without the added problem of hormones kicking in. If you plan on keeping the third cat, get him/her fixed.... the sooner the better.
