Is it possible for cat to forget his brother (3 years together) after separate for 3 weeks.
I have two male cats. One is neutered one isn't. They had been close but suddenly fight when Im going to take a trip for 3 weeks. Separate them is the only way I can do now. The ome who isn't neuter will be neuter when I come back from the trip. My concern are:
- Ater separate 3 weeks, do they remember the other one ?(still in the same house but they will not see the other for 3 weeks)
- After neuter, will they be close again? (After 3 weeks separate and the fight also)
Im so worry. We dont have any behaviorist in my country. They are like my childs. This is making me very upset.

They probably will recognize each other, and may or may not resume the previous friendship. You may need to re-introduce them at a gradual pace. This is assuming you have the other cat neutered before putting them back together. The un-neutered cat is hormone driven and the other cat knows this through his scent, and that is the likely cause of the conflict. Un-neutered male cats are territorially aggressive, and is a huge roadblock to the peace and harmony in your home. There might be another cause, but you won't know that until you eliminate the most obvious one first.
