We had to evacuate because of Irma. We are staying with my brother in Arkansas. We took our cat of coarse. but she is staying in our room. My Brother has a lab and although he is very good my cat would see him as a threat. She started to limp. Not sure what could have caused this.

You didn't say how old your cat is, but if she's elderly it could be mild arthritis flaring up at a (coincidently) bad time. If not, it could be that she somehow suffered a mild strain or sprain during the trip, or maybe landed wrong after a jump. I've seen that happen with my cats a few times over the years. Whatever the cause, give it a few days and if it continues you should probably take her in for an exam. But I hope that won't be necessary.

I am glad to hear that you, family and furry are fine.

We had issues with ShadowCat recently and it turned out to be pulled meniscus on both sides. If she is not doing better within a day or two - please take her to a local vet. Ask for a break in fee!

I agree a visit to the vet is in order.
