you did the right thing, amd you gave paws such a wonderful life. i have lost four now and it never gets easier but i think about them all the time, the memory is forever. im so sorry!
My condolences. It's so hard to lose a beloved pet, like a hole in the heart that won't close. I am a pet sitter in a NW Chicago suburb and one of my company co-founders also passed away from Lymphoma. To memorialize client's cats passing, my business sends donations to Winn Feline Foundation For Cat Diseases. When I personally lose a kitty and am ready to open heart and home to another, this is my mantra: if Kitty X hadn't passed on, I never would have met Kitty Y, and I wouldn't have wanted to miss that for anything.
I'm sorry for your loss of Paws, he had a wonderful life it sounds with you until his illness... I'm sure he is at peace now, enjoy the memories you have of your time with him..
