Thanks - I am just catching up on the responses

1. How do I change the setting on this forum so I can get an email when there are responses to a post that I created (or replied to)?

2. I will try the IBD group but since he doesn't have IBD, I guess I will pretend, while I search. That is the main reason I sort of ignored your original link. This forum is the most active forum to date! I joined the only 2 raw fed cats groups that came up on FB but maybe there are more - it looked like only 2 so I will explore that.

3. He pulls anything bigger than his mouth out of the bowl (I am using a glass bowl for meat and a shallow bowl for freeze-dried raw) so I have started to just plop the meat down on a plastic placemat instead of a bowl. He is fed on a low shelf and twice he has knocked the food down to the floor. I am not feeding him on the floor bc I have dogs - and one who will wait for the 2nd I space out and will go clean up. Mica does not always finish meals. Since he is a kitten still (or a 7 lb adolescent) he does not always finish off his meals so I need to be vigilant or else my sneaky dog will over-eat.

4. Chicken feet are loaded with glucosamine and collagen. It's like a supplement inho. He also knocked down a chicken wing. What other bone-in meats do you guys feed? Do you feed rats and mice and stuff like that?

5. How many livers can your cat eat? He loves liver and heart but I only have freeze-dried at the moment. But my dogs (who are only 4-5 lbs more) will get diarrhea if I give them more than like a Tbsp of liver!!

Thanks in advance! I will check out the videos once my internet is fixed.

Peace, Maria B

Vet appointment has been made. And I am sure I will enjoy other cat-related topics but I really need to find people who feed raw who can answer my questions.

I also prefer to treat at home as much as possible vs. taking my pets to the vet. IMHO, they get most things wrong - vaccines, poison, and toxic flea and heartworm meds are pushed, crap food is pushed, no studying of nutrition. They are no different than doctors who get fed by big pharma.
