My good friend Threestep gave me the idea for this question, and I thought it might make an interesting thread.

Without our cats, we would never be able to enjoy;

* drifting off to sleep with the soft purrs against your body

* enjoying those little pin-pricks of love when they're making biscuits through your clothes.

* making our friends and relatives think we're crazy when we tell cat stories... and enjoying every minute of it.

* getting out of a speeding ticket on the way to the vet after the cop heard the howling coming from the back seat carrier.

* being a helpless slave to one of the most wonderful creatures on the planet.

Ok everybody, your turn.

Without my cats, I'd never be able to live.

You think I'm kidding right...?

Plus I'd have spotless carpets, perfect upholstery, toilet paper that stays on the roll. How boring.

*I'd have almost no photos on my phone because they're always doing cute things.

*I'd have a lot more money but an empty heart.

*I would have never met a lot of cat-loving and awesome people.

I wouldn't have a:

-Lap warmer

-Foot warmer

-Pillow stealer

-A massage therapist putting me to sleep at night

-An alarm clock (when I don't want to get up)

-Non-stop entertainment

I'm sure there is a lot more but that is all I can think of right now.

Waste a lot of cat food that the cat turned its nose up at.

Feel needed.

Live happily. I'd be devastated if something ever happened to him.

I wouldn't get a chuckle every day when they do something silly, or clever, to amuse me.

A. Be able to get free deep tissue massage/kneading with acupuncture...

B. Be able to walk around my house safe from rogue rainbows moving around produced by leaded crystals in the window. My cat could pin down six at a time, one with each paw, one with the tail, and another pinning it to the floor with it's belly...

Without my cats, I would never be able to sleep all night in one position without moving, because without 35 pounds of cats sleeping on top of me, I'd be able to roll over in the middle of the night.

Without my cats, I would never be able to have the fun of trying to get a fork past a purring importunate feline sitting on my shoulders trying to snag each bite before it gets to my mouth.

Without my cats, I would never be able to rely on a four-legged furry vacuum cleaner Hoovering up every single crumb and drop that lands on the kitchen floor.

Without my cats, life would be soooooo lonely.

... sleep all the way till six AM.

... eat dinner without triangular-shaped faces in our plates.

... do the jigsaw puzzle without "help."

... read the paper, because surely the pages would otherwise flap around in the breeze, wouldn't they?
