That is so, so sweet.

I loved the photo in post #14, although it made me wonder if Bianca was wondering where the fire was?

Below is a photo of my kitties Annie and Berkeley enjoying the pellet furnace fire ...

Again, I am so, so sorry for your loss. It is so devastating to lose one of these amazing little creatures, but it sounds like Penelope had a wonderful life with you, and you can hold onto that FOREVER.

Very sorry to hear of her loss.

May you find comfort and peace in knowing she is ok and awaiting us all, and YOU, where all our previous cats have gone and await us -- at Rainbow Bridge,

Beautiful picture! We used the pellet stove for a year or two until the electronics fell apart. We have a heat pump that serves our needs very well.
Speaking of Bianca, I think she misses Penelope. They pretty much ignored each other for all the years they were together, but Bianca's behavior has changed. She whines quite a bit now, and actually sat on the couch near me for a while. She is not a lap sitter, so this was different. She loves being held and purrs like crazy, but she never initiates contact. We love her as much as we can.
