I did answer that question. There is no situation where the options are only "declaw or kill". The cat can be rehomed if the human can't handle the cat. Amputating the cat's toes will not improve the cat's behavior, the cat will simply start biting instead. The cat is far more likely to be killed AFTER he has been declawed.

Claws can be trimmed, and of course there are nail covers, which I am not a fan of, but most people find they can't be bothered with them for long anyway. The nails tips have to be trimmed anyway, to put the covers on. So just trim the nails.

Or find more suitable home for the cat.

You realize that if a cat is a habitual clawer, they will continue to claw even if rehomed.

No, I don't "realize" that, lol. The cat can be put in a more appropriate home, where the people are willing to train and work with the cat.

Cutting off the cat's toes will not solve behavior problems, it only creates more.

Without you willing to admit something that is well know, then there is no further reason to continue this. Have a good day.

I am not sure what it is you think is "well known" but you don't seem to know much about cats, and want to equate them with small dogs somehow.

Cats and dogs are very different species.

Not sure where you get the idea that I equate small dogs and cats together. Not mentioned anything about small dogs.

My meaning was: you seem to think cats are the same as dogs, only smaller. They aren't.

You thought wrong. However, they are both animals. Even the most domesticated of animals can be dangerous.

Then I would suggest since you feel that way you not have any pets.

We have three, a dog and 2 cats. All very loved. However, I do know that they are not human and are indeed animals.
