well, for a while now, my small Fluffy started to develope a belly. And she's still small and skinny, but with a biger belly. Her nipples turned pink, and round and she pretty much lies down most of the time now.
How can i find out how far along she is and how many kittens she's going to have?

I would take her to the vet. They are pretty good at determining how far along they are or if she really is having kittens. Good luck.

You can usually feel the babies in their tummy if they are pregnant. If its just fat, its just flabby.

If she is pregnant, please have her fixed as soon as posible and if she isn't pregnant, take the time to do it now before she has babies that need a home.

Spay her. You can still have her spayed even if pregnant. TOO many animals not enough homes. It will be performed humanely if she is pregnant. Do not breed or buy while homeless pets die.

I have a friend who had a cat with a pot belly its whole life. It was skinny all over, except a huge dangling pot belly.

Just a thought.

Get her to the vet very soon. It could be a pregnancy, a bad case of worms, or a bladder problem.

Once I found a little black and white kitten at my door once and he had the biggest little potbelly ever. I took him to the vet only to learn that he had a blockage in his little bladder. The vet did what he could, but the kitten died on the table. I went from thinking, "what a cute little potbelly," to being very sad for the kitty, and angry with the owners of his poor Mama. That was her second litter of kittens who were left to fend for themselves until I found homes for them. I ended up taking her to the vet and having her fixed myself, (whew, I still get angry when I remember that).

Bless your heart for taking in Fluffy; she's got a good Mom to be so worried about her.

well, i took her to the vet. she has kittens alright, at least 2 of them said the vet and she's due any day now. the vet told us to keep a close eye on her, the kittens are very big and it may be problematic for her. vet said the pregnancy was very advanced but she can't say for sure, she's at least 6 weeks. i'm hoping all will be well, i'm in my exams now but my boyfriend keeps an eye on her
problem is the male cat still tries to do his thing, any ideea what to do?
