Default Cat health problem

So do cats know when you are broke or what to pick up these mystery illness things...

I am looking for a vet tomorrow that takes payments but I am still worried....

Cat:
- female.fixed.7y.o.| rescue cat (humane soc)

3 months ago kitty had a little blood in her urine and a uti or crystals.
I was having to put the water up at night because of roach issues that our LL was being a slumlord about. (dirty neighbors not getting kicked out|not spraying enough)
Anyway...at that time I know she was catching a few and eating them. I started putting the water back down and it cleared.

We moved. Its three months later. All of a sudden she reduced her eating and lost weight fast. Shes not a fat cat so within days she felt boney and looked shaggy from the weightloss. I always leave water and food down here at all times.

I bought her canned and she eats a few bites and then goes back to sleep.
I give her whole milk - she actually really askes for this and like its

Its been three days - her weight is a little higher. She doenst feel scary anymore.
But she is sneezing a bit and huffing a bit when she eats
She is peeing but no poos.
She is still very tired but looks better.
She doesnt cry out or anything. I petted her and deep palped her body and I cant feel any obstuctions. She is not vomiting at all. She purrs when you pet her.

There is a bit of drool on her chin when she wakes up though.

Its seems to come and go in waves so I am guessing its an infection?

My other cat is fat and healthy.
I am with her 24/7 atm and just wondered what would make this an emergency?
I dont want her to die...

Her hunger and thirst went from 25% to 50% normal yesterday.
Do you think she is just getting over a kitty flu?

Your cat has a bad urinary track infection that needs to be taken care of immediately or she may suffer a painful death. Please take her to a vet ASAP. If you can't afford a visit, you may want to consider taking her to the local SPCA to get some antibiotic treatments.

Some cats have greater needs for fresh water. Your cat certainly needs fresh water 24/7. Once antibiotics control for the inflection, she will also need a special diet that's formulated to dissolve existing crystals and to prevent formation of crystals.

Please give her some medical treatment immediately. I can guarantee you she is in great pain right now. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yes....get her to a vet immeadiately! It certainly sounds like all the makings of an UTI. This will not go away on it's own. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thats what I though too. But I myself had ones clear on thier own.
I have had cats in the past where they cleared on thier own too.

But reguardless...I dont think its the situation here. Even though her conditions totally cleared before this illness.

I am thinking of taking her to cat specialist right down the street I found. Im calling tomorrow. I have an emergency number for tonight if she gets worse.

Reading other things online some people dont take the cat to the vets till it hasnt eaten for 8 days! Thats so cruel!

Anyway...I am keeping my fingers crossed for infection and not failure.
I will let you know.

Just because I am nervous I am updating..I always get nervous about other peoples pets too...(maybe Im wierd)

I didnt sleep last night much because I just couldnt. I kept waking up and checking on her. She is eating even more and has put back on more weight. No drool today. Eyes look even better. I am still taking her but its not scary-sick anymore thank god!

Last night she sounded stuffy so I made a little bed in her cat carrier and put some cough drops (halls menthol) in a plastic tub filled with warm water. Covered it for 10 minutes. She came out and sneezed some stuff out of her nose. Started eating more right away.

After that I am thinking this is a compound problem of resp + urinary prob.
Or maybe the resp problem shut off her hunger because she couldnt smell?

We will see what the vet says.

Appointment at 10 am tomorrow.
Only 45$

The vet didnt seem that worried because she is improving a bit on her own.
Anyway..I am relieved I dont have to wait that long or anything.

What are the med costs for anti-biotics or urine crystals these days?
I didnt stay on the phone and ask because I didnt want to be annoying.
Im paying my rent late if I have too so I can afford whatever she needs.

update isnt good.

Keeping it short

Basically it was her liver. Her kidneys were totally fine
It didnt matter that I took her because it was terminal
Suggested FIV or liver cancer
Suggested age a little older possible

I had to put her to sleep today
But I saw the relief in her eyes
She was getting so pale

Im having her cremated & we are going to give her a garden to stay in

Im really upset

Oh NO! I am so very sorry. I was actually thinking FIV, but was afraid to even mention it! You must be heart broken....Please, take some solace in knowing she is free of any pain and, in her knowing that she was truly loved. You gave her the best possible life here on Earth....she could not ask for anything better than that. Rainbow Bridge just opened up for another angel. Please...take care of yourself.
