well Otto is now about 9-10 weeks old. Last night he slept in my arms and purred so loUd like a motor boat. This little guy is the most loving cat I have ever had. He looks at me with such love, however he is not really bonding with Dad. How can I get him to love Dad as much as Mom, me!! He run away, and looks scared when Dad tries to hold him.

It might be that Dad has a deeper voice and that might scare little Otto. Give him time.

Most men make more noise then women. Little Otto could be afraid of the noise.

Dad needs to hold Otto and make sure that he has treats when he does. Years ago, before I got married, I had a cat that was scared of everyone. After I got married, she would run from my husband until he finally grabbed her one day and held her. He kept giving her treats and it wasn't long before she adored him. Just give it a little time.

Dad has to go slow! My husband always just wants to grab the cats....they are unsure of fast, quick movements. And the treat idea is a winner. Nothing works faster! You've heard of a way to a man's heart is thru is stomach? Same with cats!

PS...I am an original Joisy Girl! Moved away some 30 yrs ago. Born and raised in Westfield.
