Our GirlKitty is a tuxedo cat; her name is Cookie (for black and white cookies; her brother, Checkers, is also a tuxedo cat). She's a bit of a space cadet -- at times I wonder if she isn't deaf, but of course she isn't, she's just in her own little world -- so her name really does fit her.

She is one lucky kitty to have you for a companion!
Thank you! Her eyes are actually yellow, with a hint of green... so pretty. I love the name Chloe, but I still can't seem to make a decision - argh!!!!

Gizmo, you destroyed the image!
LMAO... sorry, I'm just not your typical librarian. I noticed that from the minute I finished library (grad) school, I was suddenly more attractive to men - hot for teacher anyone?? Anyway, thanks for the ideas, and I do like the name Libby for library! My step-mother suggested that last night, so it's officially on the list.

Perhaps Dewey (decimal)?
I have a black cat that I named Keeper - when I found her I decided to keep her...
I thought about Oreo (the black and white thing) but I seem to recall that names should have two syllables.

Dewey is the obvious choice, but does that work for a girl? I guess it doesn't matter, but she is such a delicate and pretty little thing. I think of names like Daisy, Chloe, Bonnie, etc., now that I know her a little better... so maybe I should go with one of those. Hmmph.

P.S. She is curled up in my lap right now, purring her little heart out!

So, you know how she has that little white marking on her forehead?

My roommate suggested the name "Bindi" because it looks like she's wearing a Bindi: Bindi (decoration) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At first I said no, since it made me think of Bindi Irwin - Steve Irwin's daughter, who is an odd & annoying child (sorry, but she is! ). But the more I look at the kitty, the more it seems like the perfect name. What do you think? I could also pick another Indian name... Shanti, Shiva, Taj, Indira, and Krishna come to mind.

Bindi is cute! But, I gotta admit, Bindi Irwin came to my mind first thing too!

"Purring her Heart out"

How about "Heart"?

As in stolen your Heart!
