My BoyKitty, when we first got him, could clear the room. Once he got used to his new diet -- and got rid of a little parasite that was bedeviling him -- he was just fine.

Default kitty farts

Bubba had serious room clearing farts for awhile and when he went for is annual visit to the vet, they noticed a tapeworm. Cleared that up and the farts are gone. I was giving him acidophilius for some diarhea and that helped too, and now I give both hairballs a finger full of vanilla yogurt every morning. otherwise, I don't get to eat my breakfast, they get into the bowl!!

It took our new stray about a month to get used to the Iams kitten food recommended by the vet before his bowels adjusted. Next comes the neutering!

My cat did that for a while when I first got her. I think it was the food change and/or a tapeworm. I gave her soft food as a treat and she was so smelly I was scared to ever give it to her again!

Tigger farts once in a while and he can clear the room instantly. Our old cat used to fart and omg I would have to get out of bed and spray the house with Lysol to clear the air. LOL

When my cat adopted me a little over a year ago, she had stink farts too. They stopped soon after I treated her for worms.

So yeah, start a stable healthy diet, treat for parasites, and get him/her fixed. Cats are so easy!
