my cat Cricket (RIP) LOVED corn silk. Anytime we were shucking corn, he would come running and be utterly obsessed with getting some. When he did, he'd curl up w/it and eat it ever so slowly, purring loudly and slobbering while he did so. It was like watching someone get high...he'd get all glassy eyed and everything.
Three nights ago, I discovered that she has a newly acquired love of wine. I set my glass down for a minute only to come back and find her greedily gulping it down.
Does anybody know if there is an AA for cats?
I have one that was always after my scotch......good thing I dont drink anymore, or she would be joining your girl for those kitty AA meetings! Lol!
So many felines have so many oddball tastes. My crew are rescues and drop-offs (I don't know if I'm allowed to do this but you can read all about them on the Old Tart's blog at Toad and Tart - Homepage and see pictures of some of them on the feline gallery) and, as many posters have noted, they can have some pretty curious choices.
Little Max hopped onto the bar at my restaurant a couple of weeks ago and took a quick sip of someone's drink - I think it was a French Martini with Chambord. She didn't return for seconds so I guess I'm not going to have to seek out any sort of Kittie AA.
Yoghurt (plain or any flavoured variety) along with ice cream seem to be the majority choice for mine. As far as things not being good for them, felines are pretty savvy for the most part and will tend not to overeat anything not good for them. Cheers!
The cat I had 15 years ago LOVED chocolate. She would lick it off any chocolate biscuits I left out or the Nutella off any toast. Very bad for her but she did enjoy it!
My cat Einstein doesn't eat anything strange. He has a well-developed palette and only eats chicken from Whole Foods as well as Tilapia and Flounder. Occasionally he'll eat his expensive Wellness canned food, but that wasn't good enough for him last night, so I paid the price.
