When I got my orange tiger, my calico hissed and took swipes at him at every opportunity. One day, I used her brush on him and the hostility lessened considerably. Her scent rubbed off on his fur and they became friends in no time.

That's so funny...I was going to say the same thing but was afraid I'd offend someone. Really, I love cats but they are the weirdest. That's what I like about them.

How photogenic Lola is. She really is beautiful. Have you noticed that when you take a pic of one of your cats inside where you have to use a flash, your other cats will look at you because they want their pic taken, too?

LOL....I wish mommy was half that cool. No, I can't say I've noticed. We're always taking pictures of the animals. It's just that every little thing they do, or any pose they get into, is just soooooo adorable!

Ive had that happen too many times when the kitties would come back from the vet, one or the other would hiss or try to start a fight.
The worst time was when one of my male kitties went berserk when the other male kitty was ovenight at the vets. When he came back, the berserk kitty attacked him. They were always bosom buddies, hanging out and doing everything together. So we separated them for a few days and all went back to normal.
Its those smells from the vets, does it every time.
So now when i take my current kitties to the vet, they are both going at the same time. One is getting a lion cut because she is super long fur and has matts. The other needs a checkup because she gets sick too much. So they should both either go berserk when they get home or be confused. lol

Cats have their own little who's who world like any species. Never force them into a small space together. Upon returning from an outting, I recommend putting the cat/animal who was GONE into the room..THEN letting the one left at home wander in. It's a territory thing. They will work it out on their own. I have a cat named Salem who looks alot like Voodoo & he voluntarily runs on my treadmill. I want to come back as a cat just to see how they think.
