I have two cats, my black persian voodoo 8 years and a grey mix named Roxy 2 years. They have been together two years. Well yesterday voodoo got shaved, and now Roxy acts like she doesnt know him, she keeps attacking him and hissing at him. They used to be very close, now not to sound dumb but i think voodoo's feelings are getting hurt, he acts very upset by this. I am not sure what to do. He looks the same in the face, just now with a lion cut.

There is most likely a new smell on him from the oil or spray that was used to lubricate the clipper blades. Give it a few days for the smell to be groomed/rubbed off.

The same thing happened with our long hair, Smokey, when she got shaved. The other 3 shunned her and hissed at her. It turned out to be good for her, because she finally got more assertive and no longer let the other ones walk all over her like they used to. But we have to have her shaved again. She looks so embarrassed when it happens, poor thing.

That is too funny (nice photos).

Either Roxy has 'issues' or... possibly, she is jealous that Voodoo got a new hairdo while she's stuck with her old look? Perhaps if you shave her too? In any event, looks to me like Voodoo is taking out his frustration on Barbie. Perhaps you'd be better off substituting Barbie for a G.I. Joe? Put 'em both in the bathroom and create your own little Abu Ghraib!

(Ok.. that was sick. Sorry. Don't mean to offend anyone!)
