I almost peed my pants laughing at your response and some of the others!

I have 3 Cats. They do not communicate via telepath to me. They have however, as of late, been text messaging on my cell--WAY TOO MUCH!!

"However, she mentioned that her cat sent a message to her brain telling her to get another cat and name it a certain name."

Lorelei, could you ask your friend to ask her cat if it has any idea's on what to name a couple of female kittens for my friend?

Default Telepathic cats versus dogs with ESP

Well I think my dog has been channeling with your cat.

The message is simple, try to get any other animal and your name is mud. Beams into your brain.

On a serious note... if your friend is *really* hearing voices, she needs psychiatric treatment.

Are you close enough, and is your friendship strong enough, that you could gently guide her towards seeing a doctor? Few friendships are that strong.

It's hard to say, with those of a New Age bent, what is due to their normal, harmless, atypical, view of reality and what goes into the realm of mental illness. If she is really, truly, hearing voices inside her head that goes into the realm of mental illness.

I really don't think that's it because she has always believed in this kind of stuff. It wasn't a voice. It was more of a thought or vision than actual words...more empathic. Her dad killed himself due to schizophrenia, and she has always been really careful to be vigilant for any signs. She has a degree in psychology, so she is pretty self-aware. I just think she's kooky. I often have dreams of random things before they actually happen to me (like a mounted deer head falling on me). People probably think I'm kooky, too.

I think she probably read about telepathic cats on the internet and then projected onto her own cat.
