The only problem with getting her spayed is that we can't catch her.

I checked on the kittens again. We have 2 males and 2 females. One of the female kittens seems to be the worst for the eye problem and sneezing. The largest male doesn't really have a problem with the eyes or the sneezing. One of the females purrs every time I pick her up.

The shelter will probably loan you a humane trap or else let you have it for a very minimal rental fee, then you can "bait" it with a can of wet food and trap her pretty fast. Good luck!

A nursing mother cat will be very hungry. I have caught feral cats this way and it will work. Like the STT Res mentioned, get a trap and put a can of the stinkest cat food you can find...you will catch her.

I'm going to have to put a litter box in there so they don't poop in the shed.

The shelter still hasn't called me back. It's hard to get ahold of them.

Checked on the kittens today. Two had eyes crusted shut, and one had one eye crusted shut. But they survived the thunderstorms last night. I gave them food and water, and wiped their eyes. Anyway, I left them there while they were playing. One kept trying to climb up my leg. I wouldn't have minded, but I was wearing shorts.

It just pains me to see these kittens like this. They need a round of amoxicillin pronto. It is not that expensive...$8 for a round. This is not going to go away by itself. Maybe you can go into a vet and explain to them the circumstances. Show them the pictures. With any luck they may give you a prescription or even offer to take the poor things.

At this point with their eyes so bad, I'd go ahead and take them to a shelter. I've not heard back from the groups that I e-mailed. I'm guessing like every other rescue out there, they are packed to the gills. Doesn't excuse them for not having the courtesy to reply, but ...........

My kitty named Baby Kitty was a free kitty at a flea mkt. He was 5 weeks old and his eyes were matted shut and had a sneeze that would not go away.

I asked several questions on here and took him to the vet and it took quite awhile but now he is about 4 months old and a healthy sweet, furbaby that was worth every dollar spent on him. I was worried someone else might not have spent the time and money on him like I did.

So we need more people like you to help the helpless pets out there that someone else might not.

One problem with taking them to the shelter directly, their address cannot be found on Google Maps. I can't figure out where the shelter is.
