I don't know why really, but I have always preferred cats over dogs. We adopted our first cat when we were traveling a lot, so a dog would not have been practical.
I like all the posts & reasons. I have 5 cats & 4 are seniors. I have had cats for 20 yrs. Cats are people with fur. The bald cats are cute as well. I play with my cats & they are loving pets. Last nov i had my 15 yr old male cat put to sleep due to kidney failure. Hes the 3rd one since 04. It sucks!
