I bought a plastic mats to begin with but then I thought "AH HA! I should try the scatmat!" I put it down Friday morning on the lowest setting and it worked brilliantly . I wasn't looking but I suddenly heard this indignant squawk and she shot past me to hide behind the sofa, glaring at me for the next hour or so. I felt bad, but not so bad that I would take it away.

Now I just have to save up to get what's left of the carpet patched and repaired. Oh well. Hardwood floors next time I move for sure

I use scat mats for my counter tops and dining room table...all it took was for my cats to jump on them once and they have never gone back! Scat mats are pricey but highly worth the investment! When the mat senses constant weight for 3 seconds it releases a static electricity shock...it feels like when you rub your socks into the carpet then touch someone...not painful but certainly surprising!
