I caught Monita doing this today!

I've seen her splashing around in the communal water bowl but I guess she's found a new source for fun. She really gets waaay in there too. When she flew out in terror at being seen (she's semi-feral, so sometimes being viewed by a human is tantamount to being chased with an machete), her boots were all nice and wet.

Maybe we won't snuggle-wuggle in bed today!

Too funny!

My childhood kitty liked to drink out of the toilet, but she also was quite fussy about keeping her paws dry.

I've caught my cats doing that a few times. It might mean that they want fresh drinking water...I make a point of changing their water out frequently, and haven't seen them doing it for a long time..

More likely it's a statement about the water bowls being too clean!

I think she just likes flinging deep water with her paws. It's what she does in the big water bowl too - I can tell when Mo's been drinking because the kitchen floor has puddles. Or I can hear her. And then when I peak around the corner - FOOOOOOSH! She flies away.

Maybe I'll set up my cat water fountain again, though I dunno if it'll float her boat. I've got 2 faucet fan cats, but Mo appears to be the only deep-sea fisher.

I caught my kitten doing this, got him just in time, before he disappeared down the drain, no joke! I pulled him out by his hind legs, don't know what attracted him, but he was literally trying to crawl down the drain! My cats are too big now, but a hazard for a kitten!

My Tommy does this as well, despite having bowls of water both upstairs and downstairs! He splashes awhile, then unravels the roll of toilet paper all over the bathroom! What a boy!
