Default I hate when I see stuff like this..

This is an ad on Craigslist..

"Free to good home, around 2 years old . were getting a dog and she does not like other animals. She is spade, litter trained. Dave at XXX-XXX-XXXX."

Obviously just keep your cat and don't get a dog! So in 2 more years when they decide to get a rabbit are they going to just give away their dog? I hate how they just want to discard their cat because they want a new animal.. that just disgusts me.

So true. I never understand any ads that say people are willing to give their cats away. Some want to move abroad, some get babies, some move to places where pets are not allowed. All those reasons make no sense to me at all!

If you want to move abroad, bring your kitties with you! If you plan on getting kids, integrate your kitties in that plan! Don't move to a place where pets are not allowed, figure something else out! Getting a cat can be a 20 year long commitment. It's not just a toy you can give away when you are bored. Grrr!

some people do not love their pets like I do ( and so many others). You don't just trade them in when you get another one. Geez. My cats are my babies and I would never think of doing something like this.

I feel the same way when I see ads that say something like: "Had to move; new landlord does not take pets." Well, then why did you decide to move there in the first place?! Especially in this economy, and especially where I live, rentals are everywhere. I'm sure if they really wanted to find an apartment that accepted cats, they could!

My sister just rescued a little 9 year old Papillon because his owners decided to have a baby and didn't want to take the extra time with him. The baby isn't due for another 6 months. I couldn't understand that one. He was broken hearted, but doing better now.

Our 3 cats are our kids, I couldn't bear the thought of giving them up for any reason, let alone separating them. They're so bonded to each other. In our future move, we'll only take a place that will let us have all three.

I feel the same way about our two cats. I looked for a new apartment for about four months off and on. I didn't even bother with the "no pets" places. I don't care if it had every amenity known to man and was $200 a month cheaper. My cats are part of our family, and I could no more kick them out than I could kick my own kids out. (Actually, considering that my kids are 24 and 21 respectively, I'd kick them out and keep the cats! )
