Thanks to a "poster kitty," other shelter-confined animals will no doubt be yapping or slithering or purring with newly-owned people now Because folks who have the attitude of "someday I'll get around to it" are always spurred to action when something like this happens. As for the mummified cat's supposed owners, did they report her missing? I think the SPCA saw right through their stories.
As for the suspect, I hope he gets a penalty that sticks (sorry...) once he's convicted.

I heard on this evenings new they caught the person who did that...said he could get up to 2 years for animal cruelity.

This was awesome to read: the rate of feline adoptions from the Philadelphia animal shelter nearly quadrupled this year compared to '08 during the same week in September.
