Our vet suggested Cousimin for cats, its a capsule you sprinkli on his food (he has arthritis).

Problem is, he won't eat the food with the powder sprinkled on it. Perhaps some suggestions? I really think this could help him if I could just get it down him!

I was thinking of mixing the capsule powder with tuna water, see if he laps that up, or, if not, using s sryinge to get it down him. He really fights liquid meds, doesn't like anything squirted down his throat, can't say I blame him.

Any suggestions? I know not to use tuna oil, that could gag him!

We had to give our older cat some meds a few months ago. We took some treats and used a drill to make room inside for the pill. Perhaps you could do that with his favorite treat.

My cats love the Greenies Pill Pockets (only the Chicken though, they don't care for Salmon). Before I used to try sticking the pill into 1 or 2 treats, but my cat would always eat around the pill and spit it out! But since I found the Pill Pockets, giving my cats pills have been a breeze (I get mine at PetSmart). Could your vet see if that medicine is available in a pill form? If not, maybe you can pour the contents into 1 or 2 of the "pocket" openings of the Pill Pockets.

I give that to my cats with their treats but I mix it up really good. Their treat is canned food, about 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon with it mixed up really good in there. Not a problem for me, I have 2 that are on it.

Of coarse, I have 4 cats so they have someone else willing to eat what they don't want so they gobble it right up before they will let the other one have it.

Those pockets just won't work for my cat. I've found that mixing the capsule contents with tuna water then syringing it down works better. Just make sure not to use tuna oil, that could choke him.

Overall he seems to be getting better, the arthritis seems to be improving.
