Default Can Cats & Dogs get along? Why yes, yes they can!

This is my dog and my cat, who are quite bonded! The kitten is now 22 weeks old; the dog is 10 yrs old.

Awww, that's adorable! I think cat-dog relations are easier when you introduce a new kitten to an older dog, as opposed to introducing a puppy to two adult cats, which is what we did.

Very cute! It always amazes me, how awstruck folks are when they see our cats and dog snuggling. I think those old time cartoons of the dog always chasing the cat has stuck in their brains!

What a cute video! It's so clear they are Best Buds. . .Little is teasing unmercifully and Big is so tolerant and gentle. What are their names?

This is what I'm going through, too. My three cats are used to dogs; we've always had dogs with these cats. But, our last 'original' dog passed away in June at the age of 17 and a 17 year-old dog is much more laid back than a puppy, which is what we have now.

My puppy is learning, but he is chewing on my totrie's fur around her neck all the time and it makes me very nervous. She isn't the brightest bulb on the string, and she just lays there and lets him do it. If he gets too mouthy she squeals, and he's never bitten or hurt her, but I still really don't like it.

So cute, thanks for sharing - I love when the dog starting talking to your cat. We have two dogs and one cat. They play sometimes, but mostly ignore each other, or jockey for position on who can get more petting from me. They don't seem to understand I only have 2 hands for 3 animals

SO funny when MadCat is reaching around the stairs, can't see, just whacking in case he hits the dog. The dog is so patient and is clearly enjoying the ply. Easy on the old dog's bones, too!
