I came across this page: Gone........But Not Forgotten........

A shelter in GA has taken pictures of all the animals they've had to euthanize in the past year.

So many of them are BABIES! They never had a chance.

There is also a page on that site with more cats that urgently need a home, soon! Their time is running out, if it hasn't already.

Maybe someone here can help, or help spread the word.

That's really sad and a simple solution to the problem is to do what you said.....spay/neuter

That's just utterly heartbreaking. And they put them to sleep because they can't afford to feed and house them? Someone should pay to have these photos and similar ones, shown on the news media.

That is HEARTBREAKING! It would be nice if the word got out concerning all those lives lost. Maybe... just maybe people would stop buying from breeders and pet shops and forget about having to have the "perfect" breed.

Its sad..... however I do not see this ending anytime soon.

however I think if these unwanted animals were instead of being put down and quite possibly made into pet food...... killed and the meat fed to starving people it would improve all pet food and help us - legally if an animal is going to be meat for human consumption it HAS higher feed standards so the meat isn't tinted, and help the enviornment no more bears or egales dying from pts chemicals, lol.

That and a spay/neuter law.

It's so heartbreaking. I also saw an episode on the Dog Whisperer last night regarding puppy mills. I can't believe there are over 2 million puppies sold a year. Don't these people who buy pets know how many animals are PTS at the shelters?? It's so sad.
